I'm getting out of here!
Thanks to the sympathetic nature of one kindly professor I will soon be enrolled in a capstone class! To top it all off, it's actually interesting and I'm really excited for it, UCLA has a lot of really good ecology and biology graduate programs including conservation biology which is how I will be spending my spring. Good way to test it out.
But speaking of grad schools, I also officially have the GRE study book back in my hands thanks to our dear neighbor Chris and need to start scheduling time to study for that! I just need to get it done. By spring break. That's my new deal. I would also like very much to get a resume done by then because the woman from witness for peace contacted me and said they may have a position opening up in columbia later this year, which would probably mean applications due in the fall and then placement in January. I would love that job so much.
My fort room is finished and is so great. I feel a lot more at home in it now. And it's more organized. I just keep piling books onto my homemade, poorly constructed shelves in my room; if they don't fall over at one point in the year the comic relief of the room will not be complete.
The lack of high fives here is already getting to me, but I haven't really been going out-- still in hibernation trying to get well. I am starting to feel better [I found the humidifier. mmmmm feels good]. Soon enough.
I can almost taste food again.
